Blog Carnival 18
Georgia on My Mind has done an impressive job of keeping up with the growing number of bloggers in GA. Every other week she hosts a Blog Carnival. What a wonderful public service that has gone into connecting our community!!
When she asked if someone else wanted to host the carnival I saw it as an opportunity to show our readers how much the GA blogosphere is growing and how much they have to say. The next carnival will be hosted at the GA On My Mind site in 2 weeks.
Please support these fine Georgia bloggers by letting them know you have visited them with a comment. Your continued support with your links and shout-outs at your site helps to alert others to what we Georgia bloggers have to offer.
To have your blog included in the next Carnival please send the permalink to gamind@mail.com or the very convenient submission form!
Remembering Sept 11
It has been 6 years, and the date still strikes our hearts in many various different ways. Jason Pye reflects on how 9/11 impacts him each year.
Arts and Entertainment
Our history teacher who is the usual host of the Blog Carnival captures my heart in explaining how to get over writer's block, but more importantly how to find inspiration and connect a story.
Savannah brings many delights. It is one of my favorite cities. The next time I get to visit Savannah I will be sure to stop by V&J Duncan thanks to this endorsement from the perceptive traveller.
Need a good book? Check out Genesis of Shannara. At the Decatur Book Festival, the author, Terry Brooks, made an impact on the author of Grasping for the Wind who who not only captured some notes, but also the spirit of the event.
Shelbinator was not too impressed by the Piedmont green concert and believes that Dave Matthews can do more than play a few songs for the environment .
Georgia has so much history and art that captures that history. Foothills & Highlands shows the transformation of a peaceful meadow to a battlefield and a beautifully inspired painting.
And there is the peer to peer connection regarding the connection of Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons over at Grasping for the Wind. I wish I could relate, but no one has allowed me into a game of D&D :P
Education
How much more should schools take on? Parents have their ideas. Teachers are in the trenches and students want their say. Best Practices in Education explores the conflict.
There is so much we can add to our classrooms when more people participate as we see from Wint Barton on the blog Alone on a Limb.
Spirituality
Got Bible relates a moving poem about a feature we see every day - our hands.
Business
Red Clay Commerce responds to the grace of God during bankruptcy.
Everything Finance offers advice on how to save money on your homeowners insurance and offers a few light bulb ideas about lighting.
Technology
Video is everywhere. Yeah, we all know about YouTube, but do you know about TeacherTube? Bloggy Vision tells you about 13 video sites.
However if online video is not an option for you, the Satellite TV Guru has some thoughts on moving from dial up to Hughesnet.

Wow Sherry! What a list. You really do your homework. I look forward to the day when I can go out on a boat, with wi-fi of course, and leisurely look through every one of these. Maybe next decade!

Thank you so much for including my blog Foothills & Highlands (http://beej.blogspot.com) in the Georgia carnival! I love painting this wonderful N Georgia country. I hope that everyone can, at least once in their lifetime, visit our beautiful state.
